Zdeňka SOUČKOVÁ
After graduating from the secondary teaching school, she studied puppetry at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Since 1967, she cooperated with her husband in conducting RADOST PRAHA children’s choir and its preparatory departments. In 1990, she founded PUERI GAUDENTES boys’ choir which became a renowned ensemble in a few years.
Zdeňka Součková was awarded with the František Lýsek Award for her long-standing work as a conductor. For her cultural contribution to the Municipal District of Prague 7, she also received the honorary Citizenship of Prague 7 in 2005. In 2016, the Ministry of Education awarded her with its Silver Grade Medal for her long outstanding teaching activities in the field of art education. In the same year, she also received the Bedřich Smetana Award for her lifetime successful conducting activities.

Ing. Vladislav SOUČEK
He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University and earned his living as a university and high school teacher. At the same time, he was teaching for many years in an elementary art school as a conductor. In 1961, he founded RADOST PRAHA children’s choir. His rich musical activities brought him the František Lýsek Award. He was also active in the Main Committee of the Union of Czech Choirs.
In 2005, he was awarded with the Honourary Citizenship of Prague 7 for his long-standing work as a conductor in the Prague 7 district.
In 2007, he received the Bedřich Smetana Award for his lifetime of successful conducting activities. In 2016, the Ministry of Education awarded him with its Silver Grade Medal for his long outstanding teaching activities in the field of art education. For his educational activities. he also received the Medal of General Vojta from Sokol Královské Vinohrady.
